RPL55 Recessed LED Profile

RPL55 is a high-quality product that incorporates two aluminum profiles in a single design, aiming to simplify the installation of lighting fixtures in ceilings. This improvement intends to break the installation process into two stages: first, installing the base, power supply housing, and insert profile; and second, installing the separate profile known as the insert. These two phases streamline the installation, enabling the pre-construction gypsum ceiling to be finished before the final step of installing the LEDs.

The interior profile, "insert," is an independent heat sink equipped with side reflectors to enhance light luminosity. Tests demonstrate an 18% improvement in light efficiency with the side reflectors. The insert profile is designed to mount the LEDs downward on the table and then elevate it to the ceiling to snap into the base.

The outer flange of the housing profile measures just 7mm in width, which is adequate to cover the rough edge of the ceiling opening while also ensuring a visually appealing look.

The RPL55 offers several light-diffusing options, including standard flat finish opal diffusers and micro-prismatic diffusers featuring a honeycomb pattern. Both versions effectively minimize glare. The distinction lies in light transmission; the opal diffuser diminishes light more than the transparent prismatic, yet both satisfy the UGR<19 requirements.

The shape and weight of the profile are optimized to absorb heat from LEDs up to 36W/m and maintain stability at 48 °C with a Ta of 25 °C.

The internal design is optimized to enhance light distribution and fastening performance. Consequently, all these factors contribute to a functional and modern LED lamp design for professional use.
